Writing and Publishing Children's Books

Have you ever thought you’d like to write a book for children, but you weren’t sure how to start? Maybe you have an idea that you’d like to turn into a manuscript. Or perhaps you’ve already written your story, and now you are ready to polish it and find a publisher.

In this seven-session course, a professional author will introduce you to the children’s book publishing industry and guide you through the process, from idea to publication. You’ll get straightforward answers to all the questions that beginning writers ask: Do I need to hire an illustrator? How do I get an agent? Should I consider self-publishing? and many more.

You’ll also have the opportunity to share your work. Whether you need help brainstorming, solving problems at the drafting stage, or revising and editing, you can receive feedback and encouragement in a friendly, supportive small-group setting.
